This Beautiful swan is improving!

18/6/2018

This Black Swan was found sick/injured on Grays Rd in the Porirua Region last week.

While she had no serious injuries, she was emaciated, which was causing a major lack of energy and she was deteriorating fast!

We got her warm and comfortable and have been supporting her by crop feeding. She has now started eating small amounts independently... loving her fruit and vegetables especially! It really is so rewarding watching her improve and gain strength daily!

We are so thankful to those that assisted in getting the swan off the road and to our facility. Special thank you to Dion for housing and caring for the Swan overnight. This Swan (Named Gray) would not have made it without the team effort from the wonderful people who saw her first. We appreciate your care and love!

If anyone would like to make a donation towards her care or to our cause in general, please visit our Give A Little page!
