It is early days but we are now working on various plans for incorporating 3D printed prosthetics into the treatment of birds in our care.
Although we are currently fundraising in order to purchase a 3D printer for our own use, we are also investigating the possibility of getting some expert help in this endeavor.
With your help, we can get one-step closer to something that has the potential for improving the quality of life for native and non-native species in the future.
If you follow this link to our "Give A Little" page, you'll find a fundraiser specifically dedicated to the purchase of a 3D printer; note that, as our plans progress, these funds might alternatively be used for materials needed for 3D printing done off site.
Thank you for your support - every little bit helps the birds!
Ever thought about providing some Geese a forever home? If so, get in touch with us!
We have about 10 Pilgrim Geese requiring a home as soon as possible. They require a fair bit of property to roam as well as access to water.
Aside from that, caring for these guys is pretty straightforward.
If needed, we can organize transportation to a good home, so don't hesitate to contact us if you're interested in providing a home but you're not in the Wellington Region.
If you'd like more information on these geese, please contact us via the "Contact Us" form or our facebook page.
☞ And please help us to help the birds by passing this information along to any potential new goose owners you may know!
Many thanks to all of the kind and generous individuals who have made donations towards the purchase of a plaque for Thomas the Blind Goose.
We're so close to meeting our goal; won't you help?

When completed, the plaque will be placed next to the plaque for Thomas' mate Henry at Waimanu Lagoon.
Thank you all for your continued support to the work we do and the patients we care for. It is forever appreciated!
